San Joaquin County is developing a Bicycle Master Plan Update to identify the safest and most convenient bicycle facilities for recreational and commuter use in unincorporated areas of the County. The Plan will identify gaps in the existing bicycle network, propose ways to create a more connected network and develop supporting facilities. Bicycle facilities identified in the Plan will enhance connectivity between existing and planned facilities located within the County, incorporated cities, and adjacent counties. Development of the Bicycle Plan will include extensive public outreach, a bike needs and attitude survey, and other activities that involve stakeholder organizations and individuals.

We need your input! Throughout the planning process, the County will organize a number of different events to listen to your feedback, present ideas, data and material to review and discuss. We will also host pop-up outreach, where we will set up a table at an existing event to talk to the community. Details of upcoming events will be posted on the website and emailed to you if you sign up for our announcement list. Your participation helps shape how we plan for the future of bicycling in San Joaquin County!
